For EP 1 I had to do the curation portion. For the posts to make I chose to edit my mobile version of my website. I chose the function because I have no viewed the mobile version of my website since late September. This was a smart decision, because the mobile version was askew in many areas. These issues were simple to fix, and definitely made a big impact on the layout of the mobile version of my website. I believe this will have a better impact on those who visit my page on their mobile devices in the future.
The other major changes I made to my E-portfolio were changes to my resume and changing the wording at the beginning of my website. The front of my website contains extended paragraphs about me and my beliefs. To many who don’t know me, or want to understand me, this can be intimidating and surprise them. I changed the intro sentence to allow the viewer to know that when they scrolled down they would find extended paragraphs, rather than a short elevator speech. My resume was also updated to reflect my current activities. I have since stopped working for the Women’s soccer team and my resume now reflects that. I have also added relevant history courses. Though I am only a history minor, I believe studying ancient history highlights one’s ability to analyze textual sources, and other sources very well. Further changes that I would like to make to my EP is adding papers from my History courses. I believe they have strong structures and clearly demonstrate my ability to build and support my arguments.
